In short

  • Cinemark’s Holiday Movie Clubhouse runs from November 28 to December 14 on Saturdays and Mondays, at $5 a ticket plus taxes and fees.
  • Cinemark says this year’s lineup includes Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000), The Polar Express (2004) and Elf (2003).
  • Cinemark says tickets are on sale now at more than 200 U.S. locations, and that snack packs and popcorn-and-drink combos are $1 off at these showings.
  • Last year’s release named A Christmas Story and the 2018 Grinch alongside Elf; this year’s names The Polar Express and the 2000 Grinch instead.
  • Cinemark’s average U.S. ticket was $11.16 from July to September 2026, so $5 is about 45% of that, before taxes and fees.

Cinemark said on Monday, November 2, that Holiday Movie Clubhouse, its annual run of older holiday films at a discount, returns on Saturday, November 28. Tickets cost $5 plus taxes and fees, on Saturdays and Mondays through December 14, and Cinemark says they are on sale now at more than 200 of its U.S. locations. Its third-quarter report counts 301 U.S. theaters, so the run reaches about two in three of them or more.

The films and the dates

Cinemark says this year’s lineup includes Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000), The Polar Express (2004) and Elf (2003). Saturdays and Mondays in that window make six dates by our count: November 28 and 30, and December 5, 7, 12 and 14.

The announcement does not say which film plays on which date, whether other films will join those three, or which theaters take part. It sends customers to Cinemark.com/hmc and the Cinemark app for tickets. Cinemark also says snack packs and any size of popcorn and drink combo are $1 off at Holiday Movie Clubhouse showtimes.

How this year’s run differs from last year’s

The $5 price is the same as last year. Elf is the only title named in both years. The other two named films are different, the weekday showing has moved from Wednesday to Monday, and the announcement came 16 days earlier in the calendar.

Neither release presents its titles as a full list: last year’s offered hits “like” those three, and this year’s says the lineup “includes” them. Last year’s release did not mention taxes and fees, so it does not show whether the $5 price changed once those are added.

How $5 compares with an ordinary ticket

Cinemark’s third-quarter report, published on November 3, gives its average U.S. ticket as $11.16 for July to September 2026, up from $10.50 a year earlier. A Clubhouse ticket is about 45% of that average, before taxes and fees. That average covers every ticket sold in those months, including discounted ones, so it is not the price of any particular seat.

The same holiday release lists Cinemark’s other offers: Discount Tuesday, a Movie Club subscription, and a promotion that gives a $5 bonus card with $40 in gift cards. It says more offers will come on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

The studio tie-in, and streaming

Cinemark says two Universal Pictures releases sponsor this year’s run: CoComelon: The Movie, due in theaters on February 19, 2027, and Shrek 5, due on June 30, 2027.

Two of the named films are also on streaming this season. Our guide to holiday classics on HBO Max and Hulu lists where Elf and The Polar Express can be found.
